Dear Friends,
At Blessings of Hope, stories of service are woven into the fabric of everything we do. Each volunteer brings something unique—but every so often, someone stands out in a way that inspires us all to look at service a little differently.
Rose Dennis is one of those people.
At 82 years young, Rose embodies what it means to live a life of purpose. Her years have not slowed her down—they’ve strengthened her resolve to serve others with even greater intention. Whether she’s lending a helping hand or encouraging those around her, Rose brings both wisdom and warmth to every moment she spends volunteering.

This year, she set a goal that perfectly reflects her heart: to recruit 82 volunteers—one for each year of life she’s been blessed with. It’s more than just a number. It’s a testament to her belief that everyone has something to give, and that when people come together, even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. Watch the video below to find out Rose’s advice for others:
As we celebrate National Volunteer Month, Rose’s story reminds us that service doesn’t have an age limit. It doesn’t require perfection or extraordinary skill—just a willing heart. Her dedication and consistency show us that faithfulness in the everyday moments can ripple outward in powerful ways.
Because of volunteers like Rose, Blessings of Hope continues to move forward—meeting needs, serving communities, and sharing hope. Her example challenges us to ask ourselves a simple but meaningful question: How can I use what I’ve been given to serve others today?

We are deeply grateful for Rose and for every volunteer who gives their time with compassion and purpose. Together, you are building something bigger than any one of us—a legacy of kindness, one act at a time.
With gratitude,
Blessings of Hope
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9
