Your Legacy: What Will You Leave Behind for Your Family?

Dear Friends,

Twenty years ago, Blessings of Hope began with a simple vision: to help connect food with people in need.

Today, we can look back and see the impact of that vision—millions of meals provided, thousands of volunteers serving, countless ministry partnerships formed, and, most importantly, lives changed through the simple act of caring for others.

As we celebrate 20 years of ministry, we’re reminded that a legacy doesn’t happen by accident. It is built intentionally, one decision at a time.

The same is true for each of us.

When we hear the word legacy, we may immediately think about possessions, property, or financial gifts. But a legacy is so much more.

Our legacy includes our faith, our values, our generosity, and the ways we’ve cared for the people we love. It is reflected in the lessons we’ve taught, the lives we’ve touched, and the choices we’ve made along the way.

While we can’t control everything that happens after we’re gone, we can make intentional decisions today about what we want to leave behind.

That’s where estate planning comes in.

Creating a will gives you an opportunity to make your wishes clear and help provide direction for the people you love. Rather than leaving your family with uncertainty, you can take steps now to bring greater clarity and peace of mind to the future.

At Blessings of Hope, we often talk about bridging the gap between food surplus and families in need.

But there are other gaps we can help bridge, too.

Estate planning can help bridge the gap between uncertainty and peace of mind

Having a plan in place can help your loved ones understand your wishes and know how you want your belongings and resources handled. It can also give you an opportunity to consider the causes and ministries that matter most to you.

For some, that may include leaving a gift in a will to support a ministry or organization that has made a difference in their lives.

These decisions aren’t simply about money. They’re about being intentional with what God has entrusted to us and considering how our choices today can bless others tomorrow.

For 20 years, we’ve seen how one vision can grow into something much bigger than anyone could have imagined.

A single decision to help connect surplus food with people in need has grown into a ministry serving communities through millions of meals, thousands of volunteers, and a network of ministry partners.

Your life has a story, too.

The decisions you make today can become part of the story your family carries forward. Taking time to create or update your will is one meaningful way to prepare for the future and care for those you love.

You don’t have to wait for the perfect time.

Start today. Give your family the gift of clarity, preparation, and peace of mind.

If you’ve been putting off creating a will or simply want to learn more about preparing for the future, we invite you to join us for a special Estate Planning Event.

September 3 | 7:00 PM | In Person
September 4 | 10:00 AM | Online

This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about Estate Planning and the steps you can take to prepare for your family’s future.

Because what we build today can bless generations tomorrow.

And sometimes, the most meaningful part of our legacy isn’t what we leave behind—it’s the love, faith, and intentionality we leave with the people who matter most.

Register for the Estate Planning Event.

With gratitude,
