Dear Friends,
At Blessings of Hope, we believe food is more than fuel—it’s a catalyst for connection. That belief comes to life every day at places like Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA, where meals are part of the ministry.
Nestled in the serene hills of central Pennsylvania, Camp Hebron welcomes over 20,000 guests annually. Families, youth groups, church communities, and individuals come to unplug, explore God’s creation, and grow in their faith. But there’s another kind of connection happening here—around the dining room tables.

Camp Hebron encourages fellowship over meals, where laughter is shared, stories are told, and memories are made. Food, in this setting, becomes a bridge between hearts and a vital part of the camp’s mission.
During a recent visit, one of their team members told us, “Selecting food at Blessings of Hope has given our kitchen the ability to offer a greater variety of menu items and the opportunity to be more creative.”
That creativity shows in every meal served. About 20–40% of the food used in their kitchen comes directly from our Selection Center. Some of the items they regularly use include:
- Awake bars for fudge
- Wilbur chocolate and pie filling for sweet treats
- Powerade and fresh fruit to keep campers energized
- Salad mixes and Barista oat milk for allergy-friendly dining
- Cocoa powder for baking pastries

These resources allow Camp Hebron’s culinary team to build menus that meet the needs of their diverse guests while also being good stewards of their budget.
Whether it’s a hearty breakfast before morning chapel or a chocolatey dessert after a day of hiking, every bite contributes to something much bigger. These meals set the tone for spiritual growth, community building, and joyful memories that linger long after the plates are cleared.

We’re honored to play a role in this work.
At Blessings of Hope, we exist to empower ministries like Camp Hebron to serve their communities well. By redistributing surplus food, we’re helping create moments of impact—one meal, one camper, one memory at a time. Check out this video to learn more!
With gratitude,
