If you’ve received a personalized birthday or Christmas card from Blessings of Hope, Jean Hoover was likely the mastermind. Jean has been volunteering at Blessings of Hope for 8+ years and is dedicated and well-liked. She creates 1,000+ personalized cards per month to celebrate staff and volunteer birthdays and 800 Christmas cards per month year-round for a grand total of 6,500+ total cards sent out at Christmas time. Recently, Jean had an accident and sustained several broken bones and other injuries, leaving a big gap in her important role. We are asking for prayers for Jean’s recovery.
We would appreciate any extra hands this holiday season for those who can take a volunteer shift. We could not fulfill our mission without our amazing volunteers. We need volunteers to sort produce, repackage food into manageable sizes, stock shelves, freeze and sort food, and pack boxes for efficient distribution.
We need your help now more than ever to continue this important work. It is only with the help of our volunteers that we can produce and deliver the equivalent of 2 million meals every month, in turn empowering regional ministries, churches, disaster relief organizations, and food banks to serve their local communities.
