Dear Friends,
Not every act of service happens in the spotlight—but each one makes a meaningful impact.
At Blessings of Hope, we are continually reminded that the strength of our mission is built not only on what is seen, but also on the quiet, faithful work happening behind the scenes. Volunteers like Carla are a beautiful example of this truth.
Carla serves as part of our cleaning team, a role that may not always be visible but is absolutely essential. Because of her dedication, our spaces remain safe, welcoming, and ready to serve the many individuals and families who rely on us each day.

Her journey with Blessings of Hope began through a simple connection—a friend who introduced her to volunteering. She first served by sorting food in Leola, but when she began looking for an opportunity closer to home, she discovered a new way to use her gifts. Cleaning, something she genuinely enjoys, became her way of giving back.
“I volunteer because I like to give and cleaning is one of my specialties,” Carla shares. “I love to clean, so it kind of breaks up the monotonous at home. I get to come here and clean something a little bit different, and I love the employees and the partners. Every time I’m here it’s always like, “Thank you for volunteering.” So it’s nice to be appreciated for what you do.”

Carla’s words reflect something deeper than routine service—they reveal a heart that finds joy in giving and purpose in the everyday. Her work may happen quietly, but its impact is felt by everyone who walks through our doors.
Stories like Carla’s remind us that every role matters. Whether someone is serving front and center or faithfully working behind the scenes, each contribution plays a part in carrying out our mission: eliminating food insecurity, one meal at a time.
To Carla—and to all of our volunteers who serve faithfully, both seen and unseen—we say thank you. Your willingness to show up, to give, and to serve makes all the difference.
With gratitude,
Blessings of Hope
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4
