Dear Friends,
Every week, hundreds of pounds of food make their way through the doors at Blessings of Hope. But before that food can reach a ministry partner or a family in need, there’s a lot of work to be done.
Boxes need to be opened. Produce needs to be sorted. Bulk foods need to be portioned, packed, and prepared. Each step may seem small, but together, these tasks help transform surplus food into nutritious meals that can make it onto someone’s table.
This is where our volunteers come in.
Volunteers are an essential part of the work happening behind the scenes at Blessings of Hope. They help turn a warehouse full of food into something that can move throughout our community and reach people who need it.

Much of the food we receive arrives in bulk quantities. A donation may include pallets of produce, cases of packaged goods, or large quantities of food that aren’t ready to be distributed directly to families. Our volunteers help make that food more accessible by sorting, repacking, and preparing it for distribution.
Every box opened, every potato sorted, and every package prepared represents food that can go on to serve someone in need.
And every hour a volunteer spends helping behind the scenes allows us to continue moving more food to the people and communities we serve.
At Blessings of Hope, we believe the impact of surplus food goes far beyond the warehouse.
A single donation can become hundreds or even thousands of meals. But ultimately, those meals reach individual people—one family, one neighbor, one community at a time.
Our volunteers help make that possible.

They take food that might otherwise go unused and help prepare it to become a resource for ministry partners serving people in need. Their time, energy, and willingness to serve help bridge the gap between surplus food and those who need it most.
Maybe you’ve wondered how you can get involved.
You don’t have to commit to volunteering every week. Whether you can give a few hours, spend a morning serving, or become a regular volunteer, there’s a place for you at Blessings of Hope. We welcome both groups and individuals, so whether you are a business looking for a meaningful team-building experience, a church group seeking a hands-on ministry opportunity, or an individual simply looking for a way to give back, you can play an important role in changing lives.
When you volunteer, you’re not simply sorting food or packing boxes. You’re helping move food from surplus to someone’s table—and helping bring hope to communities along the way.
Come be part of the work happening behind the scenes. Your time can help turn surplus food into something powerful: hope, one person at a time.
With gratitude,
Blessings of Hope
