School’s Out. Hunger Isn’t. You Can Bring Hope to Families.

Dear Friends,

For many children, the last day of school is one of the most exciting days of the year. Summer promises freedom, vacations, outdoor adventures, and long afternoons spent making memories with family and friends.

But for many parents, the end of the school year brings a very different emotion.

It brings concern.

During the school year, millions of children rely on breakfast and lunch programs to receive consistent, nutritious meals. When school doors close for the summer, those meals disappear, leaving families to find additional food while household budgets are already stretched thin.

For parents facing financial hardship, summer can mean making impossible choices between paying bills and putting enough food on the table.

Food insecurity doesn’t take a vacation.

In fact, many communities experience an increased demand for food assistance during the summer months. Children are home all day, grocery costs rise, and families who were already struggling often find themselves needing extra support.

That’s where local ministries step in.

Through Blessings of Hope’s network of ministry partners, rescued food is distributed to churches, food pantries, outreach organizations, and community ministries that serve families in need. Together, we help ensure that nutritious food reaches people when they need it most.

Every pallet of food rescued. Every box packed. Every volunteer serving. Every donor giving. It all works together to make these moments of hope possible.

While food meets an immediate physical need, the impact often extends much further.

When ministry partners distribute food, they’re also building relationships.

They’re offering encouragement to weary parents, praying with individuals facing difficult circumstances, and reminding families that they are seen, valued, and loved.

A simple box of groceries can open the door to conversations that change lives.

That’s what makes this work so meaningful.

We’re not simply moving food from one place to another. We’re helping local ministries create opportunities to share the hope of Christ with people who may feel forgotten.

Summer hunger is only one season of need.

Families continue to face food insecurity throughout the year, which is why dependable support from faithful partners is so important.

When you become part of our Monthly Giving Community, you’re helping Blessings of Hope rescue more food, equip more ministry partners, and respond whenever needs arise.

Monthly giving allows us to plan ahead, serve consistently, and maximize every opportunity to provide food that might otherwise go to waste.

Whether your monthly gift is $35, $50, or another amount, you’re helping ensure that families have access to nourishing food and that local ministries have the resources they need to care for their communities.

School may be out, but hunger doesn’t stop when summer begins.

Neither does hope.

Because of faithful supporters, volunteers, ministry partners, and monthly donors, families across our communities continue to receive nutritious food and experience the love of Christ during one of the most challenging times of the year.

This summer, we invite you to prayerfully consider joining our Monthly Giving Community

Together, we can help ensure that no family feels forgotten, no child goes without food, and more communities experience the hope that comes through Christ-centered compassion.

Because while school may be out, hope never takes a summer break.

With gratitude,

Blessings of Hope
