Dear Friends,
At Blessings of Hope, we’ve seen time and again how compassion changes lives. When volunteers step into our warehouse, they aren’t just moving food—they’re transforming it into hope. Every hour given helps turn excess food into meals that nourish families, lift spirits, and share the love of Jesus.
Whether it’s sorting fresh produce, packing food boxes, stocking shelves, or preparing items for distribution, our volunteers play a vital role. Behind every task lies a bigger story: food reaching a struggling family, encouragement arriving at just the right moment, and the assurance that someone cares.

The need is great, and the statistics are sobering:
- 30–40% of food in America is wasted—over 60 million tons each year.
- 12.5% of U.S. households face food insecurity, including nearly one in four children.
- Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, 23 million pounds of food were distributed in 2024—but there’s still more to do.
When you volunteer at Blessings of Hope, you’re not only giving your time—you’re helping ministries, churches, disaster relief groups, and food banks extend their reach to those who need them most. And when you invite your friends, family, or coworkers to join you, your impact multiplies even further.
Right now, we have a special need for volunteers to assist with fall cleanup and Wednesday afternoon shifts at our Dehydration facility in East Petersburg. But no matter when or where you serve, every pair of hands makes a difference.

Together, we can make sure good food never goes to waste—and that no one in our community goes hungry.
Sign up for a volunteer shift today.
With gratitude,
Blessings of Hope
