Some days we like to follow our partners around the Ministry Selection Center to hear the different languages spoken and see the different items each organization chooses from our large selection. The other day, Works of Salvation Ministries/Les Rachete de L’Eternel, a Haitian church who helps feed the struggling members of their congregation, came in to get food.
The fresh produce available on their selection day could only be described as beautiful. The women were having such a lovely time, chatting (in a language we didn’t understand/probably Haitian Creole) as they filled cart after cart with leeks, bell peppers, garlic, onions and paperware needed to serve their community. When they finally checked out and wrangled their 5 carts of produce out the door, they couldn’t stop giggling as the carts kept rolling away from the vehicle they were trying to load. Food brings hope, but it also brings joy and gratitude.
We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.
1 Thessalonians 1:2-4 NKJV
Blessings of Hope touches people of varied ethnic and cultural affiliations. The massive amounts of food donated from producers and redistributed to our partners, allows your generosity to change lives one family at a time. The ladies from Works of Salvation Ministries could not contain the joy of having fresh, nutritious, beautiful food available to bless their congregation. Every one of our partners feels the same way. We are eternally grateful that we get to serve the Body of Christ every day through food.
Blessings of Hope
